Ana Brown has been a writer as long as she can remember. Originally from Brazil, she moved to the US 30 years ago. She graduated with honors from the University of Memphis, TN and is fluent in Portuguese and English. As a former counselor and an advocate for children’s well being, Ana became a children’s author after motherhood. Her passion for writing and her love for helping others created a will to pursue a career in creative writing which includes a career as a lyricist/songwriter as well. Sophia and The Magical Tree is the first book of a series which aims to guide and help children of all ages cope with different issues. Ana hopes to bring comfort, joy, and peace to all children struggling with divorce, illnesses, and fear in general. Ana is a strong supporter of the performing arts and a volunteer in the community where she lives with her family in New York. When she is not writing, Ana enjoys traveling with her family and making sure her two shit-zus are out of trouble.
